Advice? Selling T206 Commons
3 Attachment(s)
Hello all
I am organizing about 150 nice (guessing on average grade 2, give or take) T206 common’s and minor stars for sale soon and wanted to ask for some sellers advice: 1. Selling one at a time - too much of a pain to fill want lists 1 by 1? 2. Or group/lot sell by team, perhaps? 3. Enough value in getting some of these condition cards graded? At $15/card for SGC, I am dining some math to think through whether the added cost to grade = more liquid, faster sales and at provides more than $15 in value vs selling raw. I am selling these on consignment so I do want to maximize the value but also looking for some efficiency as well - would love to hear others’ experiences and advice Thx all Jeff Here are some samples, just to give a sense of condition. Thx again! |
1. Maximize by selling one by one. But again, that will take time and effort.
2. Back to 1. 3. Recommend no on this one, unless you can have harder backs. I see many many commons T206 in slabs that just sit. Much easier to sell raw. The value won't be in grading these. |

I think you already know the answer: maximizing $$ = retail sales as singles.
I'd start by going through the cards carefully to sort out every special variation (brand, factory, series, etc.) and make sure they are truly commons. Pumping $$ into grading makes no sense unless you are pretty sure the cards will sell for more than the all-in cost to grade (don't forget that nasty postage both ways). Put them up here first--no selling costs. |

If you post them for auction here, I am a bidder!
