Monday Trivia

With the NBA season about to kick off, here's a bit of trivia:

Who is the only coach in history to lead teams to an NCAA and an NBA championship? Name the teams and years.

Larry Brown popped in my head, I know it was the Detroit Pistons in the early 2000's and I'm guessing the Kansas Jayhawks in the late 1980's.

Larry Brown is correct! He won with Kansas in 1988 and with the Pistons in 2004. That Pistons team was a huge underdog and yet they beat the Lakers with Shaq, Kobe and Karl Malone and Gary Payton.

Who is the only NCAA coach to win titles with two different teams?

Who was even on that Pistons team? Rasheed Wallace, Chauncy Billups maybe?

Yep, Wallace, Billups, Tayshaun Prince...Richard Hamilton who I think was their leading scorer. Has to be one of the biggest Finals upsets of all time...

First name that popped into my head is Pitino, but I can't remember if he won one with Louisville.

His Louisville championship was vacated for cheating.
