Reprints?

Do any of you see in the auction pix anything that looks like evidence of reprint text removal? If held in hand I suspect it would be obvious.

The Bengough back you can clearly see the removal. Between "CO" and "BOSTON"

EDIT: Looking at the individual pictures you can definitely see the removal on all of them.

Yes, they'e reprints and listed as such.

From the item description:

"Selling in one lot 7 different 1933 Goudey REPRINTS....Upon close inspection, it appears that attempts were made to all of these cards to carefully remove the "Renata Galasso Reprint" that indicates they are reprints as well as aging them to make them appear to look like authentic older Goudeys..."

Of course, the seller priced this lot ridiculously high for a handful of reprints.

Thanks. I was wondering where exactly to look.

LOL...

I think some folks could be mislead and not see the "reprint" description, added to the high price, and they go for it.

I knew they were reprints. I just wanted to know where the text removal took place. I'm not familiar with "Galasso" or "Dover".

I bet it's a large number of people who have paid a lot more than reprint prices for these, over the years. So many scams with them. The reprints themselves look great, as long as they are sold as such.
