Seems kosher…

How much you want to bet this completely gets around the eBay verification because it falls under the unaccepted grading company rule?

You can always rely on the hustlers coming up with something new.

His rare T206 Shasta Water Cobb is certainly worth a hundred bucks too.

"...VG 3 Altered..." LOL

Regarding eBay, the Authenticity Guarantee only applies to SGC, PSA, Beckett, and CGC. This won't shouldn't go through the program.

Yes, I know they are manipulating the system which is a huge flaw. However, I bet they ignore my reporting for the same reasons.

A VG 3 Altered grade. That's a first.

It's been bid up to over $250 now (and from some shill bids, it looks like) so I think it will go to authentication and get rejected. Just my opinion, I agree it could go either way.

I don't expect the bidding to go much higher, although even if it did I wouldn't have a lot of sympathy for the bidder. The listing is designed to get bids from someone who's not paying attention, but just looking to put in a placeholder bid.

"The manufacturer of the card is Ty"

. . . so it's also a must-have for the Beanie Baby collector?

Disagree; there is no blue AG checkmark.

Here's a follow-up to a different story about AG that actually turned out well for the purchaser in a similar situation. Real high-grade red Cobb hiding in a counterfeit GAI slab.
