PSA to Authenticate Raw cards from eBay…will offer grading as well.
 

CGC to be eliminated from the authenticity guarantee program. PSAwill be doing both raw and graded card evaluations and offering grading services to the raw cards that pass.

ETA: On a somewhat related note, CGC is now doing the raw card authentication for Fanatics Collect (formerly PWCC) selling that was previously done by Mike Baker (MBA).

So…if you buy a vintage raw card that the seller classified as EX and it passes PSA’s authenticity evaluation and then goes to grading and gets a 4 VG-EX should you be unhappy???

I liked cgc doing it. With how long everything takes psa I am not seeing this as a positive.

..but should Leon or another admin move this to a main forum , there ain't enough popcorn for when the pro/anti/-- grading/ebay/psa posters get froth-mouthed at one another and the bb card world in general.. I can't wait for that news to get widespread in here.

Man, that will be a blow to CGC's business I would think. Real graders will now have to get involved for PSA not just clerical folks.
