Beautiful Topps Original Artwork Used to make 1965 Tallboy Cards
 

Two incredible pieces of Topps Original Artwork are closing tomorrow (Saturday) in the LOTG Auction. Neither piece has a bid yet, so it's a unique chance to own important one-of-a-kind artwork from Topps Artists in their absolute heyday.

First is Tom Goode.... a "throwback" Pro Bowler for Houston, who played both Offense and Defense. This lot includes 3 pieces...

* Original hand-colored flexichrome artwork, used to produce the card.
* Original Type 1 Photo, from which the card is based
* The actual 1965 Tallboy Card in EX/MT condition

Next is 4-time AFL All Star, Kenny Graham of the San Diego Chargers. This original artwork is incredible, as the Topps Artist actually used the cardboard mount as his Palette. You can easily see the exact blue tones that appear on Graham's Jersey as well as his brown skin tones. This one-of-a-kind artwork provides a unique glimpse into how these great Topps images were created.
