Apparent Fake Cobb T-206 sold on eBay for $25K

A major red flag just in general is that card not being sold through a major auction house. Most people would go that route rather than eBay. But looks like it turned out to be real so buyer got lucky for sure. |

I was just about to post that it looks fine to me. Glad the buyer didn't get ripped off.

It was obviously a real card just from the Gai slab photo. The real question was, was it trimmed? And psa thinks not.

An it's a Factory 42 Piedmont as well!

Cool video, Neal, thanks.
I am guessing the buyer is the same Jamie on Net54 who owned that amazing red portrait Cobb back run? |

Funny story, I literally just received two T206s a couple days ago in the exact GAI slabs they are talking about. The slab just pops right open. I知 a newer collector so I知 nowhere close to being an expert but as far as I can tell (and smell) the cards are real and I知 not real sure why someone would try and fake a $50 t206 common so I guess I知 just confused as to why someone would go through all of the trouble to put a real card in a fake slab. Maybe to portray it as a higher grade than what it really is? But again, these cards are commons that I bought for $50 each so I知 just not understanding I guess.
