Does this babe ruth Look Fake?
Came across this tweet tonight. I'm not a Babe Ruth Auto expert by any means but that does not pass the sniff test for me, it just looks too new. What does everyone think?
Heres the tweet and picture: @ericwhiteback 🐐 AUTOGRAPH MISSION 🐐 Prominent collector, thepryancollection, attended last night’s Sotheby’s x Fanatics Collect auction and sat behind Tom Brady. Patrick, an active bidder throughout the night, noticed Brady had not won an auction and decided to gift him a graded ticket from “The Catch” 1981 NFC Championship game that Brady notably attended as a kid. In exchange, he asked Brady to sign what could be the beginning of the greatest accumulation of sports autographs in HISTORY! Ryan previously owned a binder page signed by Babe Ruth and last night, he was able to have Tom Brady sign the slip of paper as well. It’s Ryan’s mission to one day have signatures from the greats across various team sports. With leads on Gretzky and Messi, he hopes that will help build the credibility to one day get the piece of paper in front of Michael Jordan. IF he’s able to secure these autographs, this has to be one of the most unique autographed items to EVER exist! 👏https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GYWqRY2X...g&name=900x900 |
Are there other examples of blue ink Ruth signatures?

I'm no Ruth auto expert, but It's not one I would buy. That was weird that they had a Jasson Dominguez rookie as a grail. Is he still a prospect? Are Luis Roberts cards still worth tens of thousands of dollars? Is a Tim Duncan rook worth hundreds of thousands. I don't really understand.

Both of those autos are laughably fake. The Ruth is junk and the Brady is worse.

The Brady was signed IP at the event and the Ruth has a PSA LOA, for whatever that is worth.

Ruth 10000% no good. I don't care what TPA said it was good. It's no good. Zero question about it.

Brady signed that at the Sothebys auction

what is that at the beginning? yech |
It looks to me like the Ruth and Brady signatures feature similar flairs in the ink. I've been told that when you see ink flair like that, it typically means new ink has been applied to old paper.
In Brady's case, that makes perfect sense. He was supposed to be signing an old piece of paper with new ink. But why would Ruth's signature flair like that? It's supposed to be period ink on contemporary paper. Probably because it's new ink on old paper as well. |
It has nothing to do with the crossing of the "t" or even the flair of the "h". The "a" is pretty bad and the "e" is horribly egregious. There isn't an authentic Ruth in existence that has an "e" like that....

That blue ink looks way to new on that old paper so that is my red flag on the Ruth
