Caramelos El Indio, is a rare series of Cuban baseball cards from 1948, players from the 4 professional teams of Cuba and many players who played in the Negro Leagues appear, I show photos of the album and photos of one of the visits in 2004 that my friend Monte Irvin came to my house, you will see him in the photos signing his cards from the El Indio collection and several photos of him in the Almendares team, I will tell you that Irvin had never seen his Cuban cards, in other photos cards of Orestes Miñoso and others.

Very beautiful cards Roland! I hope one day I'm lucky enough to add one of my favorite players, Mr. Monte Irvin.

Thank you for showing!

Monte Irvin

Rolando! I was lucky enough to have owned one of those autographed El Indio cards of Irvin. Are you related to “missrainbow” on eBay? She had sold it to me many years ago (outside of eBay) and shared that photo of Mr. Irvin signing the cards as evidence. Unfortunately, I had to sell it to make room for other cards I wanted.

I, too, had an Irvin, albeit an unsigned copy. Super rare!

Derek Grangers

Mr Derek Granget, I answer your question: Missrainbow, it is the site of my friend Luis Muñoz, I have known Luis since the beginning of the 1980s, since that date for many years he came to Cuba every month, and almost every day he spent around my house, looking for Cuban baseball, most of what he sold was mine, cards Cabañas, Aguilitas, Billiken, Nacionales, Punch, he hasn't been back to Cuba for about 5 years, many cards that are in the collections The ones they bought from him were mine, regards to you Derek.
