PSA Grading Scorecards?
I read in the latest issue of PSA magazine that they will begin authenticating and grading comics, magazines, etc., next year. Does anyone think this will include scorecard programs? If so, will the writing detract from the grading (assuming they will be grading). I don't know I feel about encapsulating a scorecard. Magazines, comics, etc., are made to be looked through. That's a rocky road.

I think if they're embedded in the game program, that yes, PSA would grade them. But they would grade relatively poor because of all the writing on the scorecard, as well as it being folded in the middle means you'd only see the cover of the program once graded. It's not intended to be used for grading scorecards.

Thanks John. I do realize that if encapsulated one couldn't flip through the program, just like with a magazine. I'm wondering if they can, or will, authentic them and maybe issue a COA letter coinciding with the authenticity to prevent counterfeits. The reason I'm thinking of that, is there are several very important games where I can see a substantial value in a program/scorecard of the game; Mantle's first, Robinson's first, 500 HR, etc. etc.
Just wondering as I have a couple that are pretty significant that I wouldn't mind at least getting authenticated. |
Please no slabbing of scorecards. Ugh.
