eBook version of Baseball Photography of the Deadball Era now available
 

I’m deeply grateful for the warm reception my book, Baseball Photography of the Deadball Era, has received from both enthusiasts and general readers. Being honored with SABR’s 2024 Larry Ritter Book Award and finishing 2nd for the CASEY Award were both unexpected and pleasant surprises. Thank you for your incredible support and recognition.

Hardcover stock of the book is low with only about 100 copies remaining and no current plans to reprint the book. Signed copies are still available and priced at $85 at www.chapmandeadballcollection.com. I anticipate raising the price as supplies dwindle to help keep copies available a little longer. One only needs to look to the prices commanded on the secondary market for Henry Yee’s A Portrait of Baseball Photography for the possibilities once the book has sold out.

I understand that not everyone may be willing or able to spend $85 on a book. To keep the book “in print” and more widely disseminate the knowledge therein, I have now released a digital eBook edition for $19. It can be instantly downloaded to an eReader of your choice. Apple Books and Adobe Digital Editions work quite well for this. The eBook is in a fixed format to replicate the layout of the hardcover and is fully searchable. A preview of the eBook can be viewed on the Google Books link on my website.

It is my hope that the eBook will allow anyone who may have interest in the subject to have access to it. If you already have the hardcover, you will enjoy the ability to have the information at your fingertips. If you don’t, go ahead and indulge your curiosity. I hope you enjoy it!
