Yup, tried his crap on me today. These people think we’re so stupid. I just looked at his profile and realized he joined TODAY. Yeah I’m good.
|
Yes, he contacted me responding to my BST listing trying to sell.
|
He's gone now....idiots will persist. Always have to be careful.
. |
Bummer - he messaged me that his step dad had the E90-3 Frank Chance I’ve been searching forever for

He attempted with me as well, but i never responded. Gave me the “My stepdad” routine accompanied by an external email.

There should be a new piece of information collected by Leon when someone new wants to join.
The questionnaire should ask, "Do you have a stepdad with a nice card/memorabilia collection?" If the 'yes' box is checked, you are outta here, scammer!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Tried to get me with the step Dad talk. Emailed him regarding Bazooka stamp panels. He used images from eBay listing and sales. He even used a sold listings photos of a panel I bought. Just crazy!
|
Same story here. His stepdad had the '38 Goudey that I'm looking for.

LOL ! That is hilarious. This guy tried to sell me cards I already had. Same SGC serial numbers. |
It’s the same guy over and over. Third time in the last week with almost the same message (stepdad, mate on Facebook, etc. with something I said I WTB on the BST).
The “ave” instead of “have” should ave been corrected by now! |
I got a message from him that his stepdad "ave" the 1970 Topps Cloth Sticker Seaver, 1968 Topps pitching pose proof of Seaver, and the 1982 Fleer pitching pose proof of Seaver. Apparently, his stepdad has all three of these unique or nearly unique cards. It is amazing how bad the typing and spelling is for these scammers.

Love the ones that start with my old man has this for sale. Ugh
|
Look out when you see
Hello mate, I believe my uncle has one of these in his garage……
|
Figured it was time to tack on the 'stepfather ruse' to one of my 'Collectorisms'...
