Henry "Hank" Greenberg Autograph

I know there are some Greenberg fans out there who definitely have more knowledge than me when it comes to his autograph, so I have a question. How rare is his autograph signed as Henry vice Hank? PSA facts state that he didn't sign it Henry often, and there are no exemplars on their site. I someone has an example I would love to see it. Thanks for reading.

I'm not a Greenberg collector, but I'm often searching for 30's to 40's Tiger items and on occasion I have seen him sign "Henry 'Hank' Greenberg" but it's been enough times to count on one hand. I can't say I've ever seen a "Henry Greenberg", but I haven't really been on the lookout. I'm sure someone else can provide a bit more knowledge.

Thanks Steve. Someone out there has the knowledge as I know some members specialize in Mr. Greenberg.

Hello! I have been collecting Hank for many years....his signature as Henry is much tougher no doubt....usually, but not limited to, legal documents where I assume he had to use his legal name....here are a couple....one from his first contract as a 18 year old....and one as Vice-President of the Whitesox in 1960...

Many thanks Michael! Those are the first examples I've seen. No doubt they are both authentic, but check out the difference in the signatures and how it changed through the years.

With luck, maybe someone else will have a sample!

Haha.....yes....one could write a book on how Hanks signature changed in the 30s and 40s and to some extent thru the rest of his life....you can almost narrow it down to what year he signed it in some cases....

That is pretty cool Michael. I may be asking your opinion on an autograph in a couple of weeks. I appreciate you! Jim
