1960 Topps Willie Mays Auto

2 Attachment(s)
I want to sell a 1960 Topps Willie Mays autographed card. Should I grade the card? Grade the autograph? Authenticate the autograph?
Any ideas on the approximate value?
I have no experience with autographed cards so any advice is appreciated.

Thanks

Find an auction house to do that work for you. Make sure that these fees are considered part of their overall commission as opposed to being added on top. If you hear or see any mention of "grading fees", find another auction house.

They will get it done for you without your having to do that work yourself. Save yourself the headache and time. They'll have it facilitated much faster than you can get it done, unless you want to pay the exorbitant express rates. Don't forget, there's also shipping and insurance both ways.

And your Mays signature is gorgeous, so no authenticity concerns.

Get a quick opinion from PSADNA or Beckett. Sell it on Ebay. Not rare enough to go thru the hassle of an auction house. Nice card.

I will throw a different recommendation. You can have COMC submit the card to PSA for dual-grading with the card getting a grade and the auto getting authenticated and graded. Then they can either mail it back to you or you can sell it or auction it through COMC on eBay.

I think with as clean a card as that looks, it's worth grading both the card and auto. Some people working on a signed registry set will use the grade to move their set up a notch.
