Real Estate for Cards??

Guys,

I'm not sure if this would be the right place to post this but I'm selling multiple properties and i wouldn't mind trading one of the homes for some very high level cards. I have a property is paid off worth around $300-$340k and is completely renovated. it can be leased easily or lived in if one so choses. I would be open to a combination of cash plus cards. The cards would have to be top tier. I will consider cards like ruth (possibly rookie card), 48' paige & Robinson rookie, mantle rookie, joe jackson, etc.. maybe t206 plank and magie variation can be thrown in too.

Maybe this is a crazy idea but i don't need the $, don't need to reinvest into more real estate.

If this is the wrong section for this i apologize in advance.. its just an idea that I've been thinking about recently.

While this is a little (a lot) outside of my dealings in life, I would have to think that you might have an easier time simply selling the property and using the money you got in return to buy cards. I quite frankly have zero idea of the legal issues/hoops you would have to jump through if you decided you want to trade a house for some cards, but I'd wager it involves lawyers and papers being drawn up.

This is the right place to discuss the concept, but when you start naming off cards you'd like in return, it seems like a Buy/Sell/Trade thread. That would be the wrong location. I'm not sure how many people on this board are looking for housing in Iowa.

You've also got to pay the tax man. While you could trade property for cards, you'll really want someone skilled in taxes to determine the legal way to accomplish. Another reason for selling it straight up and just buying the cards you want.

Trading a home for a card is wild

No more than a red paper clip.

Depends where it is and how good the deal is. At 300k for a renovated house, seems like it may be far off from city living

LOL, have you ever been to Iowa? That is the 3rd nicest house in the state, says the guy living in South Dakota.

It really is an interesting trade idea. You would think one would have to give the other a nice premium. I honestly wouldn't know what one but no way would it be an even trade IMHO.

Cool idea. Can you post photos of the real estate?
