Need info on 1964 Topps stand up painting
1 Attachment(s)
I've come across a 10x14 painting of a 1951 Red Back front & back of Yogi Berra. Painted on 2 pieces of art board. Ne1 know anything about this maybe one of a kind? Craig Williams might be the artist but not sure.
Picture is another by the same artist. |
That’s a 1964 Topps stand up image of Brooks in case you didn’t know.
Nice artwork! Love to see the yogi artwork Scott |
What I don't know is a value or if others exist. Thanks for the help.

More info. They were airbrushed paintings done by a local artist in Long Beach, Ca. They were specially made for a card shop, and they are one of a kind. Still trying to figure out a value, because I’m thinking of buying them.

I guess if it is one of a kind you and seller will determine the value, Rich. Good luck

Sorry but I think the buyer determines the value..........
|
Why are you sorry ? :)

Seems like the market needs both a buyer and a seller to clear. Otherwise, if there's a bid/ask spread, then the market doesn't clear, and we have no price signals to use, and get to go back to just pulling numbers out of our hat. I suppose you could always make the argument that some sellers bid on their own stuff, thereby creating a reported fake market price that doesn't actually exist. And without some knowledge of these shenanigans, the rest of us are left to our own devices to evaluate whether the reported price is at all manipulated by goons in this fashion. |
