I've never had a Moxie so I don't know how it should taste, but would it not have gone flat after so many years?

I'm not one to try, but hey a sip for science would be something to see.

Don't EVER try it. I made that HUGE error a while ago when I was in New Hampshire. Sweet mother that stuff is beyond nasty. To say that it is an acquired taste, is an affront to taste.

blecchhhhh

Good luck with the sale, very cool looking bottle.

Cheers,

Butch

Here you go. I do believe this is a more uncommon cap, as most are silver. The back also has embossed moxie script. As well as reads Trademark Rec US PAT Office. Very hard to get a photo of compared to the moxie logo, its a quarter as defined. Sorry for the air bubble/glare in the soda it's the best way I could get the text to show. There is a chip on the bottom of the bottle as well but it stands absolutely perfect as shown. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...347ebeb0dd.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...ae22a28da6.jpg

so, what's it taste like

Moxie has been described as root beer with a licorice/bitter cough syrup aftertaste.

Interesting combination. When you consider how much sugar goes into processed food today, it's a wonder they can sell it at all.

In Michigan, we've got Vernor's Ginger Ale, which has an aftertaste a bit like having dozens of safety pins driven into your tongue with a mallet.

An acquired taste.

Here in PA we have Birch Beer. It's my favorite soda, I wonder if it tastes similar. Because birch beer has a sort of root beer taste.
