Excellent guess! Gooden won them all except a Gold Glove.

One more try. Tom Seaver? Ugh, I peeked, Seaver must have been a crappy fielder and hitter.

Good guess, but Tom Seaver never won any Gold Gloves or Silver Slugger awards. Silver Slugger awards didn't begin until 1980 fyi.

I like the Mets them so far by the way.

Another excellent guess. Hershiser won all of the awards except ROY.

You got it! Fernando Valenzuela won ROY, Cy Young, and a Silver Slugger award in 1981. He later won a Gold Glove in 1986.

I’m assuming beside Valenzuela AND Hershiser. It has to be a NL pitcher between 1980 and 2021 since the Silver Slugger Award started in 1980.

A fine guess. But Glavine never won a Gold Glove to go along with his 4 Silver Sluggers and two Cy Youngs. Another former met though.

I only knew because I've been a very casual Fernando collector. I did a few posts on him back when I was actively blogging. My F-I-L, who knew almost nothing about sports and would only occasionally watch some Mexican National Team soccer, got caught up in Fernandomania. We took him to the Astrodome to watch Fernando pitch and that was the only sports event I believe he ever attended.

Yeah, the 3rd guy to win a Cy Young, Silver Slugger and Gold Glove is a fairly contemporary player who retired recently.
