1972 Topps Cellos
 

Saw this online somewhere - I was not aware Topps issued cellos like this in 1972 - was it just higher-numbered series?

Edited to add the reverse image. The code shown is 0-368-58-01-2. The code used on cardboard box version that year was 1-368-15-01-2.

I knew football was issued. like this, but had to look regarding baseball. A Topps Archives article indicates this was indeed the first issue to have cellos wrapped like this.

I think those style 72 cello's were experimental. Not sure about pops vs. boxed but they don't show up all that much from what I've seen. When I wrote that piece in 2020 it was believed 5th series only carried the priced cello wrap. Has anyone found ones to the contrary since?
