1952 Topps Set?
 

Hey guys!

I’ve just started to collect 1952 Topps. I plan on collecting grade 3-7. Maybe going for 4.5-5average. I plan on buying Mantle, Mathews, Robinson separate from the set eventually when I have enough funds for a 5 or 6 grade. I’m fine with raws if price is right.

For those of you who have pieced together a set, approximately within $10k do you expect to spend on a set. For clarification sake I plan on assembling the entire set first then variations later.

Here is my thinking. Tell me how far you think I’m off:
1-310 commons: $7-12k
311-407 (minus Mantle, Mathews, Robinson): $15-20k

So basically im budgeting $22k-$32k for a basic complete set without mantle. How far do you think I’m off?

I think that's a fair number. Depends on centering and how patient you are
