Not many living people were portrayed in a movie 50+ years apart. (1950 was Ruby Dee. I forget who played her in the 2013 film.)

True. Nicole Beharie portrayed Rachel Robinson in "42" by the way.

I wonder if it was weird at all for Jackie to play himself, but have a movie star wife in Ruby Dee.
