Not a badge collector, but is there an easy tell that these are fake?

Yes. Obvious poor quality. Hand stamped. Letters not in a straight line or same curve. Inconsistent space between the letters. If a baseball club or hockey club wanted to have these for their vendors, ushers etc. you can bet that they would use a company that would produce high quality badges. Look at any badge that is genuine. These are pathetic. Any person who purchases one of these believing they are real is a couple of ounces short of a pound.

I totally agree. My question is, do real ones even exist or are these just products of the seller’s imagination? “Tin” pinbacks were around in this era and I would more expect to see something like that as opposed to stamped hunks of metal.
