Dick Groat Stamp

1 Attachment(s)
I have this Dick Groat cut, but I cannot find a stamp or sticker of this 1959 card pose. Anybody see this stamp/sticker before? It is 1 1/4" wide x 1 7/8" tall.

Appears to have been cut from a magazine or the like.

Because this is part of a larger collection that features similar cutouts, my guess is that it was removed from an 80's publication. Does anyone recall the size of the images in those Topps Surf books that were released back then? That was my initial thought.

Well that makes good sense. What a relief knowing your sources are good, and that just because I could not find a stamp or what not that was produced meant my sources were off. I thank you for your input on a rather obscure piece.

Your Dick Groat is originally from the collection of a collector who was active starting in the 1950's. When he started out, he would attach actual cards to 3x5 cards or government postcards and have them signed.

I think he may have acquired the cut-out images from this book https://www.amazon.com/Topps-Basebal.../dp/0446513474.

That book was my first thought as well, but weren't the pictures larger than what we're seeing here? That's a huge coffee table book. I have the Classic Baseball Cards book which was also released by them, and the 1950's Bowmans in there were definitely larger.
