Does this look ok? In a local auction from a reputable auctioneer, but not a baseball expert.

I'm far from an expert, but it looks bad to me.

It is not authentic IMO.

Not only does the signature looks off, but Cobb very superstitiously began signing in green ink only in the 1910s, and rarely wavered from that.

Do you have a source for this? I've never seen a Cobb check signed before 1940 (and possibly later) in green, and have seen many (and owned a few) signed in black.

I like Green Cobbs but Nice in Black as well. Obviously not 1910's more like 1950's
