1985 Topps Information Sought

Not a lot of needs for 1985 -

1) Any images or information on the batting glove which was a prize you could win from the game card inside packs?

2) Information or images on the sheets available via the wrapper ad?

3) What is the story with the plain wrapper style shown here? Were these issued in regular boxes?

4) Any images of regular wax cases? All I could find on line is what is shown here.

5) How many Tiffany Sets in a case? 6? Images of a case would be nice.

6) Where were the traded boxes/packs issued? Were these traded cards on different stock than the boxed traded cards, like occurred in 1990 and 1991?

Thanks!

The plain wrapper packs were issued in regular boxes, just like the dated variety. There is a series of printing errors for 1985 wax packs that exist, with the dated variety available in about 3 or 4 variations. All were issued in regular boxes. There were also 1985 packs that were issued in leftover 1981 boxes, with the price tab stickered over with the 35 cent price that was correct for 1985. The wax cases did come in both the plain variety (like you showed in your post) and the regular printed variety. Rack cases came the same way, with both printed and plain boxes.

Anyone have one of those team logo painters caps you could get for 30 runs?

Wix uses an image preloader which shows low resolution blurry images for nearly everything on any browser with scripting disabled.

The entry on the traded wax packs needs a tad of an edit. The traded boxes had the same number of packs as the regular boxes, 36.

They do have a spacer on the bottom to fill the box as you can just glimpse on the photo in this listing in the open box.

Found something new (to me) - 1985 racks packed in 1983 rack wrappers (both in design and commodity code on the reverse). There's a few around eBay, so I don't think they're terrible rare, either. My question for anyone who might know - did they truly contain 51 cards, vice the 48 in the normal 85 racks? Did the boxes they came in have different codes?

Summary of 1985 rack codes are:

3-box case - 981-85
6-box case - 971-85

All boxes I've seen - 1-034-37-01-5

Normal wrappers - 0-981-67-01-5

1983 wrappers - 0-034-67-01-3

Any thoughts?
