FS: 1973 Topps Baseball Complete Set now with high grade key cards
18 Attachment(s)
I went ahead and had 10 of the key cards graded…mostly to make sure I wasn’t incorrectly describing the set. Pretty much as expected…some higher, some lower…but really solid grades. Pictures attached.
The remaining raw cards are consistent with these stars. The SGC 7 Schmidt I pulled from my PC to make everything consistent. I think the high numbers are, generally, a little better than the lows. This is a really strong set in ultra pro pages. Crisp and clean. When I started building it, I bought a set that was 37% nrMtmMt, 54% ex/exMt, 9% vgEx. I have aggressively upgraded a large portion of the commons and all of the main stars, HoFers and RCs. I believe the set is now 70% nrMtMt, 29% ExMt+ and 1% vgEx. The 1% is mostly driven by card 660 which is absolutely terrible (I have no idea how I missed it) and the cepeda has a couple of hairline wrinkles. Some have typical centering and minor print mark issues. The only issues that I see even in the lesser grades cards are factory issues…some centering and stray print marks. Any corner wear is modest and I really try to have a no crease policy. Backs are clean. Asking sold shipped/obo. Also have the nice partial, 82% complete OPC set (now minus the Fisk) still available (pictures also attached). $sold shipped if anybody wants both together. Thanks for looking…please reach out with questions |
Tough to find high grade raw sets from the early 70s. GLWS
