Photo/Card Corner Help
1 Attachment(s)
I haven't been able to locate corners as small as Lionel has here. I've been searching photo corners, stamps and cards. Anyone know where I might find something similar and this small? Doesn't appear to be but maybe the pages are simply cut and the cards slid in?

Since they are all almost the same type corners missing?, I think they could be inserted into some kind of page, as you describe. There should be a plethora of stamp corner holders on the marktet, if that is what you are looking for..

I agree with being cut down. With the mounts perfectly sized to the borders and the lower having the corner trim to avoid blocking the name...I think these are all hand trimmed from normal size to fit the cards.
Prior to the internet and 200 TV channels with nothing on, this would have been something the picky collector would have had plenty of time to do. |
I re-watched the Mastro/Carter interview and there is actually a close up and mention of the photo corners being hand trimmed. Lionel did say Sundays were for working on his albums...

Ah, sorry those look like they’re larger than what would be suitable for your needs.

If you're looking to mount T206s in an album, there aren't many ways I like.
They're small enough that photo corners will probably damage the corners if you simply remove them from the mounts. I use corners similar to the ones above for stamps on cover and postcards, but they're bigger an usually a bit more flexible. There are some stamp mounts that might work. I have doubts, but they might. I can check and see if I have any the right size for a T206. I don't have any, but there are also mounts that are like a pocket, or a penny sleeve. |
