Happy Birthday Bob Seger
Today is Bob's birthday, which he shares with Willie Mays. Bob Seger was born May 6, 1945, in Dearborn, Michigan. What's your favorite Seger song?
I think mine is Old Time Rock & Roll. |
Mine is probably Turn the Page, although he's such a rocker it may be more fitting to pick a song like Katmandu. Several to choose from, and pretty much something for everybody. Happy Birthday to Bob.

2 + 2 = ?. But seriously, not among my favorite artists but I would go with Night Moves.

Rambling Gambling Man ,
He was 23 when he recorded it |
"Roll Me Away" and "Feel Like a Number" are both incredible to me, and "Till It Shines" is an oft-overlooked bit of awesome coolness!!

We did favorite Seger songs not long ago. For me, Night Moves, unquestionably.
|
Night Moves. Something many of us can relate to on some level. Strong lyrics.

It's also brilliant, IMO, how he uses "moves" interchangeably as noun and verb. |

He had some great songs!! There's too many to list. I don't know if I can really pick a favorite, but I love "Get out of Denver" off Live Bullet and "Horizontal Bop" off the Against the Wind album. I know those are odd choices and if you asked again in a half hour I might answer with 2 different songs.

The first time I saw Seger is when he opened for ZZ Top in 77. This Ramblin', Gamblin' Man video is from 1968:
