When you realize those cards you bought for a penny in 1948 need to be put up for auction because you have no one to leave them to!

My only daughter says better sell or either going to the garage sale or bicycle spokes--made think about reality--

The only concerns are that someone submits it for grading and then auctions it as a rare variation.

I still think about the smell of the gum. I wish there was a cologne of that smell. It's like women with baby smell. I love Topps gum smell.

Immediately after I sold my collection the 1 card I still needed for my type set came up for auction, a D355. Had it been a year earlier that card would have sold for 10k instead of 5k. Since I was selling my type collection I didn't want it anymore, after all of those years. (around 20 yrs)....

With a slight editing of the thread's title...A sign I've been collecting too long?

My 1973 cards are still way too 'new' to send in for grading...but they came out over a half a century ago. :eek:
