WTT 1971 & 1972 Topps Baseball Starter Sets for 1968 Topps Ryan, Bench, & #490
4 Attachment(s)
I'm near completing a lower grade 1968 Topps set. I'm more or less replicating the cards I had in the early 70s. However, I am now at the point where I am still missing the "big guys." I'm trying to keep my promise to my wife to lay off the savings accounts (new roof this summer.) In my closet, I have all of the cards that I have upgraded while I was putting my 1970-75 Topps Baseball sets together.
I have thie lists and some images of the 1971s that I will include for anyone that may be interested in what I'm proposing, but I'll get to that in a brief moment. Here's a brief summary of what is available in these two groups: 1971 Topps Baseball: (526/752). Condition- wise they average out at vg/ex to ex, mostly due to centering and light wear on the corners. There are some stars, plus there are 70 cards from the fifth and 52 from the sixth series. 1972 Topps Baseball: (259/787). Condition-wise they average out to be the same of the 1971s.There are 55 cards from the fifth and 27 from the sixth series. There are stars included in this lot, including #686 Carvey, and #696 Carew in Action. This is what I would like to receive for the two groups: #177 Nolan Ryan in fair-good condition, unslabbed. I expect corner wear, a crease or two, and I don't mind it being miscut as long it doesn't include part of another card and no tilt cut. Also, please no writing, tape, or paper loss. #247 Johnny Bench- pretty much the same condition as the Ryan. #490 Super Stars, which has the Killebrew, Mays, and Mantle in good condition. Thank you and happy collecting! Phil aka Tere1071 |
