On the heels of their 1912 World Series championship, the 1913 team celebrated by using a "World's Champion Red Sox" logo on the cover of their scorecards for the following season. This scored program covered a game against the Chicago White Sox that was played on June 6, 1913 and won by the Red Sox 4-3 in 12 innings. Winning pitcher Smoky Joe Wood ran his record for the season to 6-3 as he pitched all 12 innings. Other notable Red Sox players include Harry Hooper, Tris Speaker and Duffy Lewis. Notable White Sox players include Eddie Cicotte and Buck Weaver (1919 Black Sox), as well as Ed Walsh, Ray Schalk and Hal Chase. There is a small 1 inch tear on the back cover, that has been repaired with scotch tape on the inside last page. Great condition for this 111 year old program from the second season at Fenway Park. Incredible period advertisements throughout.
