REDUCED: Civil War Cavalry Sword and early 1800s Longrifle

both are in pretty decent condition but admittedly these do not fall into my area of expertise.

the cavalry sword is a Model 1860, and has the easily identifiable inspector markings at the hilt: US A.D.K 1865. no scabbard. dark patina

i believe the rifle to be circa 1803-1809 manufacture, War of 1812 era. it is possible that the rifle is older, but not what i was told. no ramrod, evidence of lots of use/repair.

i am looking to get $325 shipped for the two weapons. if interested please PM me. i am open to a discussion with anyone much more familiar with these type of things.

i am bumping this mostly to see if there are any experts out there in this era of weaponry

of course i want to sell these…but way outside my realm. only what i have found during online research which was spotty at best

if any experts or interested parties out there, please PM me. just need to level set.

Based on the butt of the rifle it is most likely late 18th early 19th Century. It is a conversion. Removed the flintlock and replaced it with a percussion hammer. The barrel also looks like it was a replacement as it is hexagonal rather that round. It is probably rifled for a .577 caliber minie ball versus the old flintlock barrels which were usually .69 caliber. The stock was cut down so that it is more like a carbine rather than a long rifle. That may be the ramrod that originally was part of the rifle, but looks out of place as it should have a shorter iron one.

I used to collect autographs of Civil War generals, both CSA and US. I went to a lot of shows and looked at a lot of arms. At one point I owned a CS import Enfield rifle before it was stolen by someone who everyone else in my family refers to as my brother, but is invisible to me.
