New location for the Stronsgville Show
From a story in Sports Collector's Daily and a review of the show website, the Strongsville show is moving next door to the Brunswick Arena. Essentially across the parking lot.
The Arena is an ice hockey facility that seems to have two rinks. Hopefully the show uses both rinks - and is able to add more vintage dealers and make the aisles a bit wider than they were in the Best Western. The BW is an old 1970s Holiday Inn and used a couple of ballrooms - but overall wasn't the largest rooms for a top end show. Excited to see how this works. If anyone has more details please let us know. Hope that some of you who have been trying to get in are successful! |
Someday this show is going to happen for me.

I'll be in booths 28 & 29
Buying, Selling and trading some awesome vintage cards. Feel free to reach out ahead of the show to start a preliminary conversation about any of the aforementioned.

Strongsville show
Thank you IndyDave. I've attended Strongsville many times, pound for
pound the best vintage show (multisport) I've ever seen. The added space should help. Trent King |
I cannot wait, went last year, will fly in from Oregon again this year for it. Might try to wheel and deal a bit, but we will see what we can find, and if it is anything like last year, it will be a lot!

Does anyone know when admission tickets generally go on sale?
|
For those setting up, have you heard any changes to how much modern you can have in your cases? I think it was maybe 10 percent, but has this changed with the venue change?

This is the new floor plan as emailed to dealers in December.
There 30 + additional tables from my count. The corner tables are 6 foot as at the hotel. The other tables are 8 feet instead of the old hotel 6 feet. There are 2 additional feet per non-corner tables than the hotel show so there will be much more display space per table. There is a long wait list so new dealers will most likely be mostly vintage I assume. |
Thanks for posting the floor plan.
Glad to see more tables and hopefully more dealers |
The email contained table assignments but that could change from the initial assignments. There are more than 30 additional tables total but unassigned tables from the initial email was 30+.

Pretty cool it’s gonna be on the ice.

I may drive down for this one this year.
Quick question for previous attendees as I have not been to this show previously. Is this basically baseball only, or will there be some of the others from the big 4? I ask only as my son collects mostly vintage basketball cards and memorabilia. This could be a fun road trip for us. |
Strongsville
JustinD- you'll find vintage and prewar from all sorts of sports. Tons of
baseball, and plenty of football, basketball, hockey to go around. Memorabilia too. What you won't find is much modern, thankfully...which is part of the charm. Trent King |

That's sounds great (his BBall focus is the 1940's and early 50s mainly) |

Howard - is this your first time setting up at this show?
Not sure what I will be looking for but I do like all the Kahn's baseball I picked up from you at the National last year. Looking forward to seeing you on Saturday at the show. Dave |
