1898 Enameline Doll - basketball card or not?
1 Attachment(s)
Keen to see what everyone thinks on this.
1. is it a basketball player? 2. do you consider the doll to be a card? ps. included image of the potential basketball doll and the confirmed football doll for comparison |
I would say no. I would say it’s the first series that depicted basketball. It’s definitely not a card.

I don't collect basketball, but I am on the fence about those being cards. If they were baseball, it would be debatable too.

Yes, and Sure. Yeay Illinois Wesleyan, school of the first basketball card and Jack Sikma.

Yes, it’s basketball…no, I can’t place this as a card in the traditional sense. This is much more in the vein of advertising pierce for scrapbooking. They are roughly 5 3/4 inches tall, I just can’t see it.
All personal opinion so I really wouldn’t argue someone on it. |
