1954 Topps Baseball Cards.
COMPLETE SET of #1-#250.

I picked most of the HOFs to get slabbed. I did slab the O’Brien twins just because it’s a super cool card.
I have 16 of the 250 cards in SGC-4 slabs. The rest of the 236 RAW cards are in top loaders and stored in a binder. The binder is all in order. If the card is in a SGC slab, then I put a placeholder in the binder with the card number/name and SGC certification number.

Average grade across all 250 cards is “4.05”

Here is a GRADE BREAKDOWN for all 250 cards:

VG--61
VG/EX--126
EX--52
EX/MT--11
------------------------
TOTAL 250

Price is $11,500. Save time and money!

From my experience, and not just from this site, very few collectors buy complete sets. More often than not, collectors want to build their own sets. The majority of those whole buy whole ones are dealers looking for a bulk discount so they can break it up. Not saying you won't find a collector-buyer, but it may take some time, especially it being a 5 figure purchase. Just my 2 cents. Great job on building it!

Yes,
I also agree with that last statement

Yep. I understand. It’s always been backwards to me to see dealers break sets and sell to people who are trying to put it back together.

I know the fun in piecing a set together, but surely there is someone out there who wants to save time and money…

As I was building my set run, I bought them up to the 5k range but this is pre-2018 - and most of the 60-69 were between $1200-$3000, so a little more palpable as a one time purchase. I doubt I would have bought it all at one time with a >$10,000 purchase. I would have built with lots and bought the stars a little at a time in order to spread out the pain - and probably end up spending substantially more (but staying happily married)
