New Member & Help Identifying '36 Goudey R322 Blank Back?
 

Hey everyone!

I'm new to Net54, but on various other platforms as Dan Trades Cards. I've gotten more into pre-war the past few months and decided to create an account here.

I was also hoping for assistance in identifying a card. I have a stack of '36 Goudey R322's, but one is blank back - Joe Vosmik. It's definitely not a fine pen / wide pen. Exact same as the other 322's I have just nothing on the back. I've searched high and low and can't find anything.

Back looks rough, probably skinned. Check it's thickness compared to the others you have. I imagine it's thinner to the feel and even if laid side by side. OF if it's thicker it might be scrap book paper adhered to it.

It does seem a bit thicker than this Waner and the bottom-left corner seems to indicate paper may be added to the back. I appreciate your help!

It also appears the underlying stock at the corner tip is the correct back stock color. It may just be paste and soak right off. Search the forum for how to soak. Soaking is the easy part, correct drying and pressing will keep the card nice and flat with no waviness.

If you have a light table, put it on top and if the back is there, you'll be able to 'see' or detect it. Or put it on a glass window as the sun shines in. Same result. That's the easiest way to see if anything strange is going on here.
