Accidentally polluting your own PC hunt
Ever accidentally introduce something into the marketplace, and then get stuck with your search results returning nothing but those same items?
I started collecting Tuffy Rhodes several years back, when I learned about his career in Japan. I picked up several lots of cards off Yahoo Auctions Japan, and eventually sent a bundle of the duplicates off to COMC. Well, all those duplicates eventually sold only to be relisted, again and again (at 3x the original price). Now all I ever see on COMC or eBay when I'm searching for Tuffy Rhodes are his Japanese cards that I put out there. |
When searching the interwebs for info on m113 and m114 posters that I am looking for I frequently come across threads on net54 that I either started or contributed to.

Just today I was searching for a few minor league sets thinking "maybe I can grade the one key card in the set and list the rest of the singles on eBay".
My searches were polluted with all the singles from LAST time I did that with these particular sets. |
