Brooklyn Dodgers uniform circa 1950’s. Pee Wee Reese
1 Attachment(s)
I had someone reach out to me and said they had this shirt. I don’t know anything about vintage uniforms but I am a Pee Wee Reese collector.
Is there anyway from these photos to help identify if this is real? I’m not planning on purchasing as I don’t have funds that would be reasonable if it was real but I’m really just looking to see if the story matches up. Any help or information would be appreciated. Drew |

How about number on reverse?

While I am not an expert on game used jerseys, there are other examples from 1957 that look to match this one as far as Spalding being the manufacturer and the tags and name look to be correct. Whether a presentational type Reese jersey or possible gamer I certainly could not say but I found authenticated examples of Campy and Furillo that look to match this style. However, they had set numbers that I do not see a tag for on this one which would denote potential gamers.

These are the only photos I have. From what I understand this was from spring training time of the year if that makes any difference

You might ask the person who sent you the information if there is a care instruction tag with a set # beside it probably on the inside tail of the jersey and see if he can send you a picture of it if it is there.

I don’t have my GU jersey file with me, but it looks good. |
