Ohtani cards 2017-2018 (many signed) for sale / trade
12 Attachment(s)
I just found thousands of Topps Now cards from the first few years of their release in my closet, because I was intrigued by them at the beginning, but gradually I lost interest. I have limited knowledge of their value (other than what they cost me), but am looking to unload all of them, as they are not anything that I am interested in anymore.
Apologies for the kind of dark / blurry scans, I haven't figured out how to take better scans of the cards in the holders they arrived in (which they have never been removed from). Scratches are on the holders not the cards I can take better pix on request. Doug PS - I have hundreds of other signed cards (Trout, Harper, Ichiro, Kershaw, Judge, Ortiz, Bench, Fisk, etc, etc,) and a complete 2016 set |
What do you value these at?

I just have to say wow.
The triple sig has become a grail card and should be the highest of the bunch. Might be a worth consignment of this group. If I could give a fair offer on the top customer card I would as it is a grail for me. However, it’s Christmas, my medical bills are stacked again at the moment, and I don’t want a divorce for the holidays :D Good job on your investment with this group Doug! |

I was mesmerized by Topps Now cards when they first came out, but ultimately lost interest in them. Possibly / probably due to an email I received from Topps that read : “Manny Machado signed the biggest free agent contract in MLB history. Today we will be offering relic cards of the tablecloth from Machado’s introductory press conference.” That's just dumb, I'm sorry. |

I hope Santa pays your medical bills (I expect him to bring me some, hahaha) and doesn't bring you a divorce. Doug |

Wow what a gold mine you have there, congrats!!! Wish I could afford one but I won't insult you with a low offer :) I'm still hunting an Ohtani auto but am thinking I'm a bit late to the party!

Pretty incredible collection of "not so dud" current players.
I think consigning to Goldin or a similar auction house that handles a lot of new rare cards would net the most cash as I know you previously said you were looking to sell them all. I think a zero consignment seller fee will be pretty easy with any auction house. Good luck with them. |
Bump after nearly two years, I still have all of them, and am still interested in unloading them with the least possible effort.
Which leaves room for profit to a potential buyer. Doug "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KnIgXtE4K5U" Goodman |
PM and email sent thanks

Well, after last night, it seems like a good time to bump, and add slightly better scans.
I do not have prices on these cards, and am not looking to sell, I'm only willing to be convinced to sell. They are all cards with limited to no comps that I am aware of, although unsold ebay museum pieces probably set ceilings. Barring him being found on the Epstein list, they will never decrease in value, so make me offers. Doug |

2nd PM sent. Thanks.

I just sent a second PM to you. Thanks.

Looks like only 25 were produced of the triple sig. What a card.
|
I believe there were 1 - 5 - 10 & 25 cards with different shades for the background. So technically 41 cards, but I agree still pretty cool.

REA was attending the Nashville Show displaying cards for their next Auction, I assume accepting items for consignment. one caught my eye was the UD signed PSA 9 Mantle/Griffey card estimated, $20,000, Irk, I sold my PSA 10 years ago. I did see Fanatics SOLD OUT many unique signed Ohtani items in the $49,000 dollar range each. I assume you might have quantity of Topps Now 2001 Pujols base cards available?

I was fascinated with the initial 2016 Topps Now releases, putting together a complete set with many of the specials. Starting in 2017 I had way less interest, but still picked up lots of the specials. Similar in 2018 but even less interest, and in 2019 I picked up probably less than 20 cards, but a few of those are signed Vlad's. Nothing since then. |
It was a cool concept when it started. I always thought the 2016 Aaron Judges after his call up should be considered RCs, but the market never went there.
|
I enjoyed buying 2016 Topps Now cards especially for games I attended. And even the most popular cards are a tiny percentage of regular topps issues. The rookie call ups issued the day a rookie debuts are a great collectable in my opinion. So time will tell how the market views Topps Now. But after ten years the 2016 first season cards from Topps Now are picking up steam and any Topps Now with Ohtani on it is an easy sell and probably better to put away for another decade.

Wouldn’t mind buying a single Ohtani signed card. Looking purely as a collector - so cheapest is best - lmk if anything is lower priced - certainly not expecting limited edition etc etc.
|
Ohtani cards have gone INSAAAAAAAAAAAAAANE since his big game. In the right forum these cards would be huge right now.
|
Yeah, unless he hits 74 HR and wins 20 games next year, it's hard to envision a hotter time for his cards than right now.
|
Great cards, good luck!
I am a big fan of Topps NOW. Great photography, awesome offering of limited/numbered parallels. I think they are a sleeper product. |

Correct that Aaron Judge's 2016 Topps Now cards wouldn't be considered his rookie cards...his rookie season was 2017. Here's my Topps Now Judge RC from 2017. It is definitely desirable and commands a lot of money. Topps Now are very collectible and have a really strong secondary market on eBay.
Doug, good luck, those are amazing Ohtani cards. |
