Researching 1950’s Photographs to look at jerseys
 

I am looking to find images of players from the 1950’s wearing their jerseys.
Cards from back then are drawings and eBay has a few photos.
RMY auctions i have been looking through but i didnt know if anyone else had a good website where i could look at images.

Yes, i know about that also.…should have mentioned Dressed to the Nines…it is a great reference also
But those also are drawings and not actual images.

A ton of baseball images including images that were used for 1950s cards are shown.

His "Baseball Uniforms of the 20th Century" has drawings of every MLB uni thru 1993. There are also hundreds of photos.

Indispensable.

Ebay is a great place to look. Just search for "photos," and click "vintage memorabilia" and "baseball." There are tons of high quality images available. Google images is also a great source. The suggestion of 1957 Topps cards is a good one, along with 1953 Bowman cards.

You can find many GU jerseys looking through Heritage and other AH past sales. What's nice about that is they'll show details most photos won't show, like tagging.
