The Making of a Hobby Legend - Showcase your Non-T206 Steve Evans cards and items
2 Attachment(s)
Never someone to miss out on capitalizing on a vintage card craze, I present you the thread to showcase your Louis Richard "Steve" Evans vintage Non-T206 cards and other items. This thread should be especially relevant to those who, practically overnight, no longer can afford adding one of his T206 cards to their collections.
He had a decent career, and even led the Federal league in triples and slugging percentage in 1914 while batting .348. And he had the knack of getting smacked by a pitched ball...he led the league 4 times in that category, and his 31 HBP in 1910 stood as the major league record until 1968. Here to start off is his T207 Recruit card, where the nice biographical writeup identifies him as a natural comedian prone to endearingly quaint antics. Brian |

Louis is now an instant classic. Here are my T205's. I'll look in other sets and update later.

That is a nice start Rob, plenty of Evans to go around in that cluster.

One of my favorite tobacco cards, as this was one of the first T cards I owned and got me hooked. Livingston, Bridwell, Kroh, Overall, Evans in T205 and a T206 of Jack Knight were my first year or so of T card pickups.

Not the best registration, but not a run-of-the-mill card.
