Jackie Robinson 1950 Bowman Photo

Can anyone shed light on these photos printed with the name on them? Are they from the 50’s? Sorry for the bad photo I had to screen grab a video.

As a side note, that not a type 1, but a type 2. I think the listing mentions it but the wording on it would make it not off original negative.

Wonder if the price was inflated due to the listing error. I’m trying to see the Jackie in person this week. Not sure how I’d be able to tell if it’s a print or not.

Photo in my previous post is a type 2 BECAUSE it's off the original neg but created many year after the original was shot. The white letterng applied to the front was in preparation for creating the copies offered by National Sports Photos Inc. It's all there in the description of that auction listing.

And just for further clarification... the Jackie Robinson photo shown in the first post is a copy print created by taking a photo of an existing photo. The photo in the auction listing I posted is a Type 2 created from the original negative and is a "proof" used to create copies sold by National Sports Photos Inc.

Right... and there are tons of these "copy prints" floating around. You can find them on eBay at any given time for under $7 plus shipping.

Right, remind me not to post before a certain time and on pain meds for a tooth ache.
