White Plains Thanksgiving show

Anyone going/setup at the White Plains show this weekend? I was thinking about going.

If it's an easy drive, go for it.

My only hesitation is, as a pure vintage guy, there seems to be a huge drop off when they go from the 300 table to a 150 table show.

(I'm sure there are plenty of board members who would kill for a 150 table show, so maybe I'm spoiled . . . .)

Over the years, the WP Thanksgiving show has always drawn very strong crowds, especially on Friday and Saturday. Lines outside typically went down the steps and down the block. If you collect vintage and under 2 hours away, I would try to make it.

Phil, I believe it’s at the Marriott in Tarrytown now. 150 tables should keep it relatively uncrowded unless all the tables are in the one big room.

I live about 10 mins from there so I may be tempted.

Thanks, Jeff. I didn’t know about the change in venue, been living in FL for the past 9 years now. I guess this show has totally different ownership than the JP Promotions event at the Westchester County Center. I have no idea then as to the quality of this weekend’s event.

I'll be there!

The show is at the Westchester Marriot in Tarrytown. Hours are Saturday 10-5, Sunday 10-4. I'll have a diverse selection of vintage cards from all 4 sports and non-sports.

I get the Vib this year the show this weekend will be more like the pre pandic years much less busy with more people spending time and counting their blessings with the family !

I hope all the dealers on the board who are set up there have a good show

Number 1 Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I’m going to pass this time, I was hoping for a better autograph venue than the “usual suspects”

I am going tomorrow, anyone go today? How was it?

I went yesterday, show was not as busy as I anticipated. A lot of dealers were packing up early, so I had to run around the show before they left.

Picked up some raw 50s Bowmans and a few 33 Goudeys that I got a package deal on. Graded prices were very again high in my opinion, as I have noted in most show this year.
