Early Mays photo
Hi all - my first post here. I've enjoyed poking around a little today and am glad to join the community. I am a card guy first, and just learning about old photos. I've been going through some old photos I purchased, and have not had any luck finding this early Mays photo online -- can anyone help out? Blank back. Has an old, vintage card smell, but only a little discoloration on the back. The surface is super glossy.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I realize I probably need to submit it for authentication to know anything for sure. Mays photo front: https://drive.google.com/file/d/168c...usp=drive_link Mays photo back: https://drive.google.com/file/d/19TP...usp=drive_link |
Great photo. A lot of knowledgeable photo people here. I’m sure they will chime in in the am.

For what it's worth, looks like a road uniform from either 51 or 52, based on the sleeve patch. Similar to these found on Getty Images (both used on TCMA cards in the 70's). Not finding yours on Getty, or brief search elsewhere though.

Submitting it to an opinion seller won't guarantee that you "know anything for sure". Doug |
PS -
The NL 75th anniversary glove patch was worn in 1951. |

Is the editorial masking in the lower-right corner part of the image itself, or applied on top of the photo? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

That grey area is editorial masking that has been applied. If you can’t feel it then it’s part of the image itself. If that’s the case this is at best a second generation photo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Point to the area you’re claiming is glare. We must be talking about different things.

Fair enough. Where can we see this video?
