Interesting T206 Al Burch variation/oddity

I’m curious if anyone else has ever noticed a variation of the Al Burch batting t206 where it appears someone has taken a bite out of the bat. I noticed this a couple years ago and have seen 4 different examples since I started looking for them (all with P150 backs). All four that I have seen have an additional mark (dot) on the upper left corner.

That is a really cool recurring defect. Never noticed it.

I know you’ve seen this one but I figured I’d post it. Also sorry if this post gives you taco neck - I can’t figure out why net54 90 degree rotates my pictures

I have never noticed this before, but that is the perfect description as it literally looks like somebody took a bite out of the bat. :)

Image flipper to the rescue! I have to check my Burch for signs of bat munch.

I have found that it’s due to the image having too much of a border around the card. If you crop the photo to get down to just the card itself, that will usually fix it. You can also use the preview post button to see what your post is going to look like before you post it, so that you’ll know if the image has turned sideways.

Nice find Sonny! I have six of the Burch, batting cards and none of them have the bat misprint.

But seriously, folks ...... :) ........ Is it my old eyes, or do both shown examples also have the "N" in Brooklyn (as opposed to any other N :o), look a tad "incomplete?"

Way cool, Scott
