I just picked up a 1970 Rod Carew. On the back it mentions he stole home 7 times in 1969 - Wow !

Apparently, at the time, Carew tied Pete Reiser's MLB record of 7 steals of home in a season. And the record has since been given back to Ty Cobb (8 home steals in 1912) in 1991 after further research.

But get this, did you know Lou Gehrig stole home 15 times in his career !

Babe Ruth stole home 10 times.

Rickey Henderson stole home only 4 times in his career.

An article I found mentioned that Lou Brock never stole home. But another article claims Brock stole home twice in his career.
