PWCC Sunday Auction Issue?
 

In the middle of the night, I received an e-mail from PWCC indicating that I'd won an item I had bid on with a link to pay the invoice. When I opened the site later this morning, it now shows that the auction is still going on and extended bidding starts tonight.

Does anyone know what's going on?

Yep, I got an emailed invoice as well, but the link does not work when I go to pay.

They posted on their social media accounts that they are "currently investigating technical issues with Extended Bidding" and that they will provide an update sometime today (10/2).

You'd think that they would send an email to all bidders about the issue, but seems like they have not. And this is not the first time they have had "technical" issues with the ending of an auction and extended bidding without sending out an email about it.

I haven't received any emails at all from them. But I was the winning bidder for one item and it clearly showed as closed last night. Now it is open again and accepting bids. That's what I get for giving them another chance. No more.

Sounds like business as usual over there.

So auctions spontaneously came back to life? LOL that's a new one. The ghost of Brent?

Thanks for the replies. I didn't realize there was precedent for this. This will likely be my last PWCC auction.

This happened 2-3 times in 2022 but it's been about a year since the last issue PWCC had. In one case, invoices were sent out and a few people I know paid their winning invoice only to have it returned to them. Not a great look to be sure!

Seems like every auction house has "glitches" and it stinks! I've been on the winning end of one of them only to have lost later as well as a few where I thought I had lost only to be able to try again and win.

Best thing I read this morning is a reminder is that it is just cards and most of what we chase will be available again (Maybe Boston Garters aside?!)!

Same problem here. My patience is wearing thin.
