Decent size clean non-sport collection, need help valuating
I am trying to help someone who inherited a decent sized, non-sports collection. From what I have seen the cards are in great shame, a few sent to SGC have come back 4-6 grade but I have no clue on what sets are what and valuations.
Any decent resources out there that would be a good place to start, or even a breakdown of what sets are what? I have a handful of scans that I can share if someone is interested. Thanks!

Head over to the non-sport forum and those guys will take care of you.

Mogul Egyptian - T112, common T set. Between the Acts Little cigar - T25 if black framed actors, T108 if Theaters with a white border. I think there's a couple other sets this brand made Hassan World's Greatest Explorers - T118, commonly found but popular with non-sport collectors. Turkish Trophies Fables - T57, fairly common Big Run Flags - T59; Big Run is a pretty rough brand and popular with collectors. Helmar - Flags? T59 if so. Tougher back also. Recruit Officers - T81, fairly common. Pan Handle Sights and Scenes - T99. A common set. Factory 10 is common, Factory 6 is hard (but carries little to no fiscal premium). There's also a back with Pan Handle and Royal Bengals both, which is also common. Mecca Golf - these are T218 series 3, pretty common cards but the golfers sometimes do fairly well anyways (by non-sport pricing). |
Thank you Greg, message sent.

They all seem to be in the 1910-1915 range. I think a great place to help identifying them is to go to COMC.
It will also give you an idea of what other people are charging for the cards. Mind you COMC is like eBay where some people have really no idea on value so there is generally a very large difference in prices. But that is also true on eBay. Good luck. |
