eBay bank wire payment

Anyone have any issues going this route? A item I purchased goes above my daily card limit so this would be they only way I could pay.

The bank tried and talked me out of it saying if anything goes wrong you have 0 recourse to get the money back.

It’s a vintage card that would go through eBay guarantee.

You could use PayPal Credit. Not sure how it works as I've never used it, but it seems like this would be a nice use case.

After I selected bank wire payment at check out there’s no going back unless we cancel the sale.

I assume this type payment protects the seller to a degree and may reduces the sellers fees?? -so in any event will eBay allow you to open a case if necessary?
Curious, was this the only type payment accepted by the seller?

Feedback....

Look at what he sells and his feedback. If it is 100% with many transactions, no issues.

Less than 100%, I'd be wary.

Does the item have Ebay's authenticity guarantee? If so, at least you can rest a little easier with it going to CGC (they do mess things up though).

In the future, Ebay also gives the option to split payments over two credit cards. So assuming your limits allow for this, you can go this route.

How much $ are we talking about here? $250? $2,500? $25,000?

Went very smooth! If you ever pay by bank wire on an eBay transaction, have no worries. Only of course if the item goes through AG first!
