PX7 Sweet Caporal Domino Discs - Rust
 

Hello Everyone,

I seek advice on preserving a PX7 Sweet Caporal Domino Disc with a rusted rim. Does anyone have the expertise or know of effective methods to halt further deterioration of such a cherished item? Any recommendations or insights would be greatly appreciated.

Start with a toothbrush to see if any of it does come off, you may want to try sandpaper as well. Do both methods really slow and not hard. This method will not work on the paper portion, so just be careful – most likely it looks like it is already below improving. Never know until you try, a very small metal brush like you would use for copper or metal pipping may work as well, also may damage it more – just too bad you do not have a common to try it on.

I don't know about sandpaper but a toothbrush type brush might get some off. Too bad, nice pin otherwise (and relatively scarce, I think).

I may go that route to at least brush some off to assess it better.
